When one goes around the "hill" from Kapalua, they don't say much about the road....one lane (at most) for 8 miles and a shear cliff on the driver's side to the waters below (ok, they do.....but by the time you figure out what that really means.....you can't turn around)....It was soooo bad, my vertigo said..."Linda has to drive"...and she did....for 8 miles.
The pictures say it all...starting with the Banyon tree in Lahaina to the beautiful waters north..and then the "one lane" road with Linda driving....

Dave & Linda,
So glad you survived "the road". Cathy and I took the same road on our honeymoon. Twenty-nine years and the road doesn't look any different. Enjoy!

That is the greatest picture ever of you Dave. I want a copy to put in a frame. Glad to see you survived!

Oops, I forgot about your vertigo when I recommended the drive! They say that "near-death" experiences make us feel more alive. Dave, you must REALLY feel alive today!!!

That must be one of the roads that the map you posted previously has marked "Do not drive between these points. Violates car rental contract." ;-) Wow!
You look like you're having such a good time (vertigo and all). Have I mentioned that I'm JEALOUS???
Love to you both, as always.
Linda, like that "spiked look". Sounds and looks like you are having a BALL. Good for you.
Have been out of commission here. In the hosp for 11 days so those pics. really lifted my spirit to see you doing so well. I am on the mend now.Continue to have fun and will talk with you later.
Love, Janet
