Monday....March 2nd...2009

Not much new today...Linda and Dave have had a pretty busy day trying to get accounts in order.....still a lot of fallout from broker and banker changes, etc.. We also are trying to simplify things like automatic payments, bills, house payments etc.. into one account rather than multiple banks.....and reconciling automatic payments for different services, etc., etc.

Enough said about that....

We also are "Craiglisting" (a verb I made up) a bunch of stuff...in the order of simplification...that takes a lot of effort....

Linda is still maintaining her positive attitude...living each day in a positive way.....her focus was/is not the result of any "Blogreader" (a noun I made up) but rather having found herself slipping into a depressed state and all after meeting with the oncologist last Friday.....Linda wants to live each day of her life in a positive way, rather than allowing a future to control her present...make sense?

Linda will start Reike again on Friday....she is not doing any acupuncture because the low grade of time release morphine is controlling the pleuritic pain as well as the cough.......you cannot imagine the difference in her "life" as a result of this simple medication.....and it is not affecting her verbal skills or consciousness....the result of this is I still cannot get away with anything!

It rained all day..hence the following:

Ohhhhhh, Craig's list. I am an "addict." Just started this year buying and selling. John usually knows where to find me-at the computer checking "THE LIST."
You had rain...as I gaze outside the window I can see snowflakes gently falling by the streetlight. Enough of this, already! So glad to hear that the meds are working for you, Linda. I think with all the dire news surrounding us these days, we all need to live on day at a time in as positive manner as we can. Thanks for setting such a good example.

Sending you loving thoughts from Seattle. Taigen said out of the blue tonight that she misses her Grandma Linda and we reminded her she is going to spend a whole week with her soon! We're also coming down to Portland on the weekend of 3/14 to do a little celebrating with you and Jim so we'll get to see you even sooner than she thinks!
Love, Wendy

L, thought that you may find this as soothing and calming and uplifting as I do...

"You are Powerful....."

I have the power to heal my life.

I always have the power of my mind.

I don’t use my mind to think of myself as a victim or to complain about others.

My mind is a powerful tool.

I claim and consciously use my power.

I have the power to choose to see things working out for the best.

I recognize that I am always connected with the One Power and Intelligence that created me.

I feel and use this support knowing it is always there.

I am a powerful human being.

I am always treated with respect.

The more open I am, the safer I am.

I love and honor myself.

All is well, and I am safe.

Craig's list, huh?! I know quite a few people who use it. I think I need to look into it too. :)

We finally had snow yesterday! Woo hoo!!! It was great as I had the day off to play outside with the dog.

Hope this week finds both of you keeping the faith and positive attitude... and Dave, you know Linda's not going to let you get away with anything, if she can help it!! (LOL)

Take care... sending lots of hugs!

Love,
Jim and Swee

I haven't progressed to Craig's List yet, but just discovered the joy of Facebook (after many years as a hold out). How fun to reconnect with some of the old Champ Car fans and officials!

Glad to know you're doing what you can to simplify and focus on what's important. I very much want to simplify, but I have so much stuff to get rid of, that it's a huge job! I just don't have the motivation to make it happen right now.

Keep positive and keep believing. Love to you both, as always.

As Cheryl mentioned, I'm a newbie to Facebook too. You should try it Linda; it's a very distracting way to lose track of the outside world and live in the world of your friends for a bit.

I hope this week is less trying than the last and that you are able to get out and enjoy the sunshine!
