She's at it again!!!!!!! Help!!!!!!!
Mr. Wood went to the dentist today for a cleaning and checkup...Mrs. Wood was supposed to go in early tomorrow to have her two new crowns cemented.....and the nice people at the dentist office found a way to get Mrs. Wood in today to save time and a trip tomorrow (even though we are dropping off dog Sadie with son Jeff in Bend tomorrow....but now we then can go directly to the airport)......
Did Mrs. Wood cooperate and merely have two crowns cemented in and that was all there was to it?????? NOPE.....please remember she stays up nights thinking of "new stuff" (last week it was the ear...remember?)
She reported to the dentist that the gum infection she had was not healing.....upon inspection, the dentist immediately send her down the block to see the specialist.....the Endodontist. The Endodontist , after an examination, declared that Linda's tooth in the affected area was dead..."dead".....of course it is supporting a bridge....do you hear the cash register clinking yet?????....then he says she needs a Periodontist......and then.....
The story behind this is that the two crowns were done for cosmetic reasons...to replace two teeth that were bonded years ago...this is part of a multiyear plan to "dress up Linda's mouth" within the insurance cap (ie., no out of pocket cost)....THE PROBLEM???? The crowns were to use up the rest of the cap for this insurance year with no maintenance or repairs needed......so now....with this Endodontist and Periodontist .....and...and....all cash ($)....no insurance left...OUCH!
The other bad news is she has no warranty...I can't trade her....I'm stuck with her....(am I going to get a raft of "you know what" having said that?)....
Tomorrow we get up slowly and pack...and head to Anchorage late in the day...back next Monday morning.

I am 62 and have only owned one NEW car in my life.....Why???You might ask. The cash for cars has always gone into my mouth. Could I trade it in on the cash for clunkers deal? NOOOOOO, they would have nothing of it.
Linda, I know how that dental stuff can add up. Next time someone wants to check out your "new wheels," just smile....that's what I have been doing most of my life.
Dave, don't even think of trading her in!!!!!
Marilyn
I suppose the medical insurance is way over subscribed but that's what we use to pay for periodonists and the like. Don't let them scare the bejeebers out of you. So what if the tooth is dead? It does NOT mean that it's going to fall out immediately. Or ever. Just like anything, get a second opinion.
TravelMom has an old fashioned, removable bridge and one of the teeth it is hooked on started to wobbly noticeably. She couldn't have it pulled or it would mean a new bridge and, and, and. She chose to hope it would stop wobbling. It did.
Not saying this relates in any way except to repeat not to go the whole nine yards with everything the mouth people recommend until you've had time to digest it all. (Yeah, well, I can't contain myself on those puns forever and it's been at least a month.....)
Wow!!! We missed a lot while we were at Mosport this past weekend. Have a wonderful trip to Alaska, and no more new medical terms for us to learn for a while, okay?! :)
We miss seeing you, but are so glad that you have your blogs.
Enjoy Alaska!

Dave, you have the most wonderful sense of humor but when your teeth hurt, everything hurts. I'm lucky as so far Darrell is the only one who's spent his money on teeth. Have a wonderful trip. Shar
Have fun in Alaska! Love you both
Hi you two!
Have a great trip to Alaska! You two sure
do get around. Keep healthy on the trip
Linda, as Dave sounds like he can't handle
any new surprises for a while.
Love, Rhody
