Tuesday....April 27th...2010

We are in Oregon!

Friend Grace tatted an angel for Linda to protect her on the trip....we hung it in the window of the airplane..named it Angel Gracie and it protected us all the way.....

We took a LOT of "stuff" and got Southwest Airlines to haul it all the way..for not one nickel more.....our driver.....to the airport....the housecleaning fairy from yesterday...got "big eyed" when she saw how much stuff we were flying.....but we made it....

Our plane was late leaving due to some minor problem.....but they held all the connections in Denver ....we were 45 minutes late departing but only 4 minutes late into Portland.....take a lesson Delta, Continental and American...learn a lesson in customer care and you might make a profit too!

Linda held up well...got her a wheel chair each step of the way.....tomorrow we head to bend to get the Rv and doctor appointments...

So glad to see that you made it back to Oregon safe and sound. We love Southwest Airlines too - they're definitely more accommodating than some others. Time to relax and enjoy your family! :)

What wonderful service!!! I'm thrilled they treated you so well. And glad you're on home turf and beginning to settle in.

Deep breath, slow complete exhale, smile; repeat; and repeat again.

Onward and upward to perfect health!

Hallelujah!

You gave me the gasp of the day when I saw all the stuff you had. Kudos to Southwest once again.

I hope you won't mind my passing along another tip on Southwest to other blog readers. In case you did not know, every routing has a senior fare. It is is completely changeable with no penalty and fully refundable. Sometimes it is a few dollars more if bought in advance but if it is last minute or you are not sure of return dates, it is always the best bet. Must be 65 with proof of it!

Glad to hear you made it safely home! Can’t believe you got Southwest to haul ALL you stuff for free; what a slick talker you are. Linda, you look tired but peaceful. Wanted to let you know I’m enjoying all the goodies you sent me home with, especially those strawberries… if I only had Linda here to whip me up some cream and shortcake, I’d be in heaven! Miss you both already, Steve & Ethel too; but I’m worrying a lot less now that Ethyl’s gone! Take it easy with the RV Dave; remember you’re NOT Jimmie Johnson. Mike P.
