Dave has been working out at the new house ever since we closed on Thursday, so he asked me to fill in to update you.
I started my new drug Tarceva on Thursday morning, and so far there are no side effects that I can tell. I'm hoping to get some of my energy back that the chemo sucked out of me. I want to be able to work on some projects at the house. I get tired just thinking about the work ahead of us.
The weather is finally beautiful here which lifts my spirits. I have definitely been in a funk, so I want to start reading some of my books on staying in the present and finding gratitude in my life. I don't want my cup to go from half full to half empty.
Jillian came over yesterday to bake cookies with me and play some cards. Tonight Dave and I go to help good friend Nancy celebrate her retirement from the OEA with lots of other good friends, so that should be great fun.
Hope you are having a great summer, and thanks for sharing some time with me.
Love and gratitude.....Linda

LINDA & DAVE,
SO GLAD YOU GOT INTO YOUR NEW HOME.
PLEASE, PLEASE, DON'T OVERDUE IT, (EITHER OF YOU)!!! I AM CERTAIN IT WILL BE ANOTHER "MASTERPIECE" AS YOU HAVE AN INCREDIBLE SENSE OF DESIGN, COLOR & TEXTURE. I HAD THAT TALENT IN MY "EARLIER LIFE" BUT CERTAINLY WOULD HESITATE TO TAKE ON A PROJECT AT THIS POINT IN MY LIFE. YOU'RE AN INCREDIBLE WOMAN, WITH INCREDIBLE TALENT.
I HAVE SOME OTHER ITEMS I WANTED TO TELL YOU, BUT NOT BEFORE HAND.
WILL SEND A SEPARATE EMAIL AS IT IS PERSONAL FROM ROGER & ME.
YOU BOTH HAVE MY/OUR UTMOST RESPECT
& CARING DEVOTION.

Hi, Linda and Dave;
I have been on a trip to TN so out of touch. It was 'very hot' there so I am glad to be home to 'hot'.
I have been looking at some houses in town and don't think I can buy one that takes to much work. I marvel that you can see beyond the present to what the house can become. Don't let it take too much of your energy. We are all older :) now.
Good luck with the new medicine.
Love,
Ruth Ann
Hi Linda,
You look beautiful today!

I'm praying that you have none of those nasty side-effects...your due for a break and a good dose of energy. Like everyone else has already said...please don't overdue at the house. This house should be the one where you just sit back like a director and say "Action," then everyone else does all the work.

Crossing my fingers that you NEVER have any of the side effects possible with the new drug.
Just got back from a working weekend at the coast and was delighted to see the sun shining.
I parrot all of the posters who tell you to DIRECT not DO it all.
Love you.
Claudia
Lots of good news in that post. First that the house signing took place, next that you're enthused, and last but not least that Dave is doing the work.
Just kidding there, Dave. There is nothing like the incredible sense of accomplishment when you do something yourself. It is, however, surpassed by the elation of having the energy to survey the finished product on your own two feet. Keep that in mind you two!

There is a theme in the posts today from your friends, and that is an encouragement for you to 'delegate'. You have the vision, share it with folks who can do the work for you!
There will be other rewards from the new drug and new home. You will again have a nest to snuggle into and let the feelings of home make it all better. I know you think of the motorhome as your second home, but you can't go upstairs and soak in the tub to get away from it all!
Keeping you close in my heart,
Love you,
Mary
