Saturday...October 11th...2008

Pheeewww....a week went by fast...

We left Mexico last Monday...flew home...got home at 1 am...had approximately 24 hours before flying out again.....to Florida...and the "list of to-dos" was long....

One important thing on the "to-do" list was for Linda to make contact with her doctors to try to figure out her chest/back pain (12 weeks in duration). The chemo oncologist wasn't much help again...but...Bingo!...the radiation oncologist had the answer. He called it pleuretic pain...the result of the radiation...debris impacting the pleura. The bad news is that it may be with her forever, with the only relief being pain medications.

Linda's not too hot on pain meds but she went back on them and it has offered relief......and....we have made an appointment with an acupuncturist here in Florida...thinking maybe relief can come that way...and we know "Doctor Steve" as his wife sold us our condo when we first came to Florida....Tuesday is the day.

Now that we are in Florida, we are doing some serious "pool time"...and sleeping (til noon)....

Linda is doing well, although tired and the pain stuff.....

Glad to hear that Linda will try accupuncture. I have been amazed at how it helps so many things.
We are on a tear to complete are redecorating before we go to Aruba next month. I am jealous of all that pool time!

Yes! Acupuncture sounds like a great idea! Did it once, long ago, for stress aches in my neck and it was really great. Can't wait to hear how it works out for you.

Pencil me in for pool time and sleeping in late when I visit you in January, okay? Well, besides Busch Gardens.

Love to you both, as always.

Most important to find a solution/easing -- even temporary -- to the pain so that you can continue to heal and revitalize and re-energize. And if it takes pain meds for awhile, then there's no shame in that. Acupuncture, massage, margaritas... whatever it takes. ;-) Because it is amazing how just pain alone can zap all the rest of you and your systems.

You go, girl!! Just look how far you've come!!!

Got you wrapped in that lovely golden glow of healing!!!
