Friday....January 2nd...2008

ALRIGHT!!!!! Two more couples reading the BLOG and leaving comments after all this time...Linda loves them and loves you also for adding to her "team"!!!!!! Keep it up.....also, I am slowly collecting all the posts with comments and plan on publishing all as a book some day..it can be done through companies on the Internet quite easily.....so if you leave a comment, you are in the book too!!!!! Let's get more of you "lurking in the weeds"....leave comments.

We were set to call Claudia tomorrow for a visit...oooopppppsss...we think she is over in Central Oregon where we just left. Today was a great day....we had lunch with super race and Jimmy Vasser fans Jim and Nancy and Gene....great group of folks....and racing friend Cheryl will be in Florida visiting us in a few days...as our friend Ernie D. used to say as he sold condos in Florida..."IT DON"T GET ANY BETTER THAN THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Today was a trip to the Verizon store to learn how to use my new Blackberry Storm...which Linda refers to as my "boy toy"....of course I was helped by a very young "cutie patutie" who was a wizard at operating the new phone and taught an old man a thing or two.

Linda tired a bit at the end of a long day as we took grand daughter Jillian to a wonderful dinner at Costco (OK, we are cheap!...but we also like the ice cream and pizzas).

Nancy and Jim...Jimmy Vasser race fans......

I talked with Miss Jillian tonight and she said the grandparents took her to dinner... The best place in town:) She just loves COSTCO dinner... You are so spoiling her.
Happy traveling to you both, I am so sorry we could not visit. I look forward to seeing you soon.... Can you believe Miss Jillian will be "11"! Where have the years went.
I love you both, and hope that 2009 is a wonderful year, filled with PEACE, HOPE & JOY.... and most of all GREAT HEALTH with an abundance of LOVE...

Just BELIEVE!

I love Costco too... and you weren't cheap... you were being economical! :) (LOL)

Linda - hope you're feeling better every day! Hope this new year finds both of you in the best of health and spirit.

Hoping to see you at the Rolex 24 Hours in a few weeks...

Thinking of you always!

Thanks for posting the picture of Nancy and Jim. A big "Hello" to them from Marilyn and John.
Linda, there was no evidence of hairballs, fritz, or any such maladies in that pic of you. Looks like you are winning the battle on that front!
We are caught up in Illinois politics-thrilled with our prez-elect, embarrassed by a psycho gov, and wondering if we will EVER have a second senator appointed whose name isn't tainted by Blogo.
We will not be coming down to Florida this year for the Jan or Apr races....vacations will be happening for us elsewhere. There is always NEXT year, as we Cubs fans say.
Take care and have fun with your visits in Oregon and return to warmer weather.

Hi guys, Wow, a book. Alright!!!! Now we all have to be nice, nice. Keep us posted from Florida. We agree that the pizza and ice cream is great. Now that we are in the mid-west, we make trips to Sam's Club. We do lunch there too.
Much love to you both, Kay and John

Happy New Year to you both. May all your news be good news. Have a safe trip to Florida.
We have freezing drizzle in Nebraska today. Just a week ago it was 65 degrees. In between we had a strong wind that made drifts of corn shucks on both sides of my snow fence. I hired a neighbor kid to haul them away and now I'm ready to try it with snow.
Love,
Ruth Ann

You keep teasing me with that book idea. Come on, Dave, I want to be a published contributing author!;-)

I made it into the blog again! What is this, the second time? Yay, I'm famous!!

Can't wait to see you guys. I'm on my way to Florida Wednesday and I'll see you a week after. Love to you both, as always.
