Tuesday...May 5th...2009

Things are OK here. Linda is a bit concerned about intermittent pain in her lower back...since the Oncologist at OHSU indicated a note on the Scan had indicated something there....too early to define what it was. Linda has had back pain since she fell on ice several years ago...and since Vioxx was removed from the market. We shall discuss all this with the Oncologist on Thursday (Chemo Cycle 5 Day 1).

We just booked an Alaska cruise....we waited until we got old..and we are old....so we are booked. We leave on the cruise out of Seattle on May 17th and return to Seattle on May 24th..it also allows us to visit relatives and friends in Portland, Tacoma and Seattle. We had some ship credits and a great sale on Norwegian Cruise Lines, so we are going "on the cheap".

I can't seem to convince John to do the Alaska cruise thing. The prices are so unbelievable this year that it certainly is the year to do it.....guess we will have to wait until we are OLDER.

Have a wonderful cruise... do the icebreaking in the bays for us as we follow in your footsteps in July. Kay ( grace's sister) has 50th anniversary trip planned for a bunch of us. All is well in Florida ... sunny dry weather. Enjoy Mother's Day! Miss you ...see you soon. grace and frank

Nothing at all wrong with NCL. I prefer them over some of the other lines plying the waters. I know you'll have a good time. I'm hoping we might make it this year also.

Don't worry, Julie, the ships are a lot safer than the airports these days. The planes are now attempting to institute some of the cleanliness practices the ships have had for years.

Believe it or not, I'm busy to I have not been checking in as often as I like but I continue to pray for you and send good thoughts too.
