The Great Nebraskan Adventure...Day 1 and Day 2...

Day 1....WE were up early and on the road....heading to Moscow, Idaho to see 40 years later what the campus looks like where Dave did his undergraduate work...397 miles....Linda is looking at a map saying #&#*@!!#$ which in English means "Where in the _ _ _ _ are we?"
.

Day 2....We took a great bicycle trip around campus....seeing all the changes and where Dave lived and all. He noted all the girls were very young and cute....and then he was reminded they were college students and he was very old....tomorrow we go south by way of some very scenic Idaho sights and end up in Boise to meet up with brother Marlin and Sister in Law Joni to begin the "Adventure" east.

LOVE IT! I have not been back to my college in Marietta, Ohio for several decades so I can imagine what it must be like. Or can I? Everything is familiar but not familiar. It must feel somewhat like a dream that is a little out of focus.

I know this is Linda's Journey and Linda's blog, but could we have some pictures of Dave on memory lane? If he can wipe the dazed look off his face, that is. >>smirk<<

OK, I know, my time is coming. I'll hoping to get back to MC in the next year so I'm sure I'll be wondering why they allowed all those grade schoolers on campus that day. :D

I wasn't sure we would hear from you two so soon. I can't travel and communicate so thought everyone else was as single minded as me...
Great pictures....Linda you are looking so strong and happy...makes me smile with you.

On the road again! (Feel free to sing along, road warriors.)

Woope - you look great girlfriend! Getting out of town is doing you good!

Perhaps Dave needs new glasses? The cutie on the bike is the one for him!

Love,
Mary

Linda, you look GREAT! There's such a vitality and forward-looking/ forward-moving energy around you!!!!

And Dave, I found the same thing when I visiting VaTEch -- gee, that boy was awfully cute -- and oops, I'm old enough to be his mother!!!

Enjoy the vacation -- enjoy each moment.

The look on your face looking at the map is what I experience in our travels. Also we are getting reallly good at make u-turns. I wonder if it isn't that age things slipping up on us.
There is nothing greater than traveling in your own comfort seeing the country.
Happy Trails to you, as Roy Rogers would say.

Dang, Linda! You look absolutely fantastic in those bicycling photos! Even after all you've been through (or maybe because of it?) you look to be a billion times healthier than I am. Really, you look fit, strong and happy. Just the way I like you to be!

It's only been 18 years since I graduated college, but my campus has already changed to the point that I barely recognize it. It's just across town from me, so I see it occasionally and it's amazing how many new buildings they have! And they keep asking me for donations... as if they needed my measly funds.

Have fun on your trip! Looks like it's been great, so far!

Love to you both, as always.

I am happy for you two. Enjoy your trip. I am also alittle envious. You get to see the country side. How awesome. And David seeing all the young girls does it make you feel kinda old?
I have problems today believing when they say they are over 21! They look so young.
Anyway, I am earning my points, so maybe one day you will come and see me.
Love Ya Both, Enjoy, Vicky
