Linda did ok today....still healing and a bit unstable...the home nurse is coming tomorrow so we get some questions answered and Tuesday we see the Oncologist. Janet Emken is coming from Nebraska this Wednesday for 8 days....that aught to help a lot.....it's been hard attending to Linda, taking care of the daily stuff and begin the packing process....
Linda got a call from old friends last night....the annual gathering of Champ Car fans (yes they are still out there) placed a call and lots of folks talked with Linda.....wow was her spirit lifted.....it is hard to imagine...just a "short while ago" we were flying everywhere......working our "asses" off....nothing could stop us.....and we loved every minute of it....how kind of those folks to call. We hope to have a picture sent by the group soon so we can post it....and we have a surprise picture for them too....

So happy to hear that the Champ Car folks reached out to you, Linda. I still miss those people and all the fun we had.
Dave, I am sure that having some help we relieve you. Gee, I wish we lived closer. I am sure you will get it all done, one day at a time!

So good to hear that the CC group called you from their gathering. We almost made it there this year, but had to change plans as we ended up flying in to Ohio (for a function honoring his dad)on Saturday instead of Friday, so we didn't have time to drive to the gathering.
Linda - hope you're feeling better each day. Dave - good luck with everything you have going on. You are the rock!!! :)

I wish I could have been one of them. I thought about them all day on Saturday. I went last year and really missed it this year. They (we) are such a great group.
I'm glad you're seeing progress on all home fronts. It takes most people three months to recover from major surgery. I know Miss Linda is not "most people" but two weeks is still a bit optimistic.
This is truly the time to take each day as you can. The bad news is that you only have a couple of more weeks to get everything done. The good news is that you only have a couple of more weeks and everything will be done!

Good to talk to Linda on Saturday night. Billy Kamphausen thought to do that while we were sharing a bit of information from your blog at dinner.
Maria Grady took photos of pretty much everyone at the main meeting in the afternoon, so the only one I took was a picture of was her. I will ask her to send some to you.
You have a daunting task to get ready to move in just two weeks, but you've always done whatever needed to be done. I'm sure you will this time, too.
