Wednesday Early....January 13th...2010

Looks like the airline reservations have been made for Florida (great price)...Southwest Airlines on February 9th...this is will be almost 5 weeks after Linda's surgery...the surgeon said tonight Linda could fly to Florida two weeks from today which would be the 27th..so this gives her plenty of time...plus it allows for the house sale closing as well as two chemo treatments.

The house closing is on the 6th of February with possession on the 9th....We plan on moving all the big stuff on the 5 thru the 7th weekend....and packing between now and then......so all those volunteers, pick your time and let Linda know...packing (now to the 5th) , loading (5th to the 7th) or cleaning (6th to the 7th)......

Linda will have half of her surgical staples removed today when she is discharged...the other half (every other one left) will be removed in one week.....she is going to continue outpatient assistance for the colostomy. We hope to have her back in chemo Friday or Monday at the latest.

She should be out of the hospital around 2 pm today.....

Yea... what good news to hear. You get to leave the hospital today, your home is sold, and you will be heading down to Florida (hopefully to some warmer weather). Wish we lived a lot closer as I'd volunteer to help pack, clean, etc... good luck with all that! Linda - make sure you take it easy, okay?!

Here's to a great rest of the week (at home)!! :) Hugs to both!

Love,
Jim and Swee

Does "virtual packing" work??? I'll give it a try. Thanks for letting me know which days to do it.

Marilyn, I like your style. Yes, virtual packing it will have to be for me as well. But rest assured (rest?) that you'll have much strength sent to you from this corner of the peanut gallery.

"Wunderbar"!!!What a difference two weeks can make! You are recooperating (typically ahead of expectations, way to go, girl!), house sold in speedy form and going to Florida, when it has time to warm up to your expectations! As an old saying goes in Germany: "when angels travel the sky is radiant,i.e.with sunshine! May God and all his angels (family and friends included) be the uplifting wind under your wings (and the airplane's!) ... so many blessings to count! I think you should consider a "face-lift" installing that clown's nose permanently in 6 months too, you are looking great thumbing your nose at all of "that stuff" with your great attitude! Glen feels like he has more to share with you now, that you might be joining the "Sleep-Apnea-Club" ... that's were a lot of the high blood pressure problems originate, as you probably found out by now. So, maybe you'll get rid of both in the near future, "two-for-one special"!
Happy "Home-coming" for a couple weeks, (before it becomes somebody else's),great recovery and smooth move (no pun intended!) to a sunnier life!
Loads of good wishes, hugs, kisses, thoughts and prayers!
Love
Glen & Sibyll
P.S.: I wish I would be closer to help; I'm practically an "expert" after helping Sacha (and prior room-mates) move more than 13 times in th Portland area!
Can I help on "this end" or is it going into storage for now?

Linda, glad you are doing better. I still remember the times that I came to see you in 1972 and 1973. It does not seem like it was that long ago.
