Making an offer on the "Canby property" tomorrow....
Going to Bend tomorrow for a few chores...Linda has her last chemo in Bend Friday...
Linda is doing pretty good...prevention is the key to problems.....
Dave's "illness" lingers...the doctor has placed him on a clear diet again followed by a bland diet to allow his system to recover....all the doctors agree it was a bug or virus....maybe caused by something hiding in the RV water system.....
Linda and Dave now have primary doctors and a dentist....
Canby, Oregon
Canby is a thriving agricultural and residential community of 12,790. The surrounding area contains some of the richest farmland in Oregon. Local nurseries produce a wide variety of plants, bulbs and seeds. Canby has the largest served industrial area in Clackamas County. It's development is actively promoted by the city government and an economic development committee. Major annual events include the award winning Clackamas County Fair, General Canby Days and Summer Concerts in the Park. The community is located on the Willamette River and Highway 99E, just 4 miles from I-5. Employers include Willamette Egg Farms, Cutsforth Thriftway, Package Containers Inc., McGill & Son Nursery and J V Northwest.
We are trying to buy a home in north Canby which is about 4 miles from I-5...which leads to Portland. Directly north of us is the Willamette River which has Mollala State Park and the Canby Ferry.... which we love to use as it is a "backroads" to Jim/Jenn's ....Janine's...and....Claudia's.

Thanks for the Canby information. Perhaps I will get there this fall to see and experience it in person.
This weekend I'm off to St. Paul, MN to meet up with a Gortner whose Great-Grandfather is my (and your) Great-Great Grandfather, Linda.
Love & prayers,
Ruth Ann
I hadn't read the blog in a couple of weeks--sorry to hear about Dave's bug! Hope you're all better soon, Dave.
I have another friend named Linda who lives in Canby! We always visited her when we were in Portland for the Champ Car race, and thought it was a great little town. If you do move there, Linda could give you the inside scoop on the town for sure.
Take care!
Love,
Susan
