Thursday Evening.......January 17th, 2008

An interesting day today......

Linda went to the eye doctor....opthamologist.....after much testing...he indicated her eyes were like a windshield with the wiper blades screeching across with no fluid...in other words because of the chemo...there is not enough fluid produced to have the blinking working without the painful results.

So Linda is on a 7 day anti inflammatory program.....drops three times a day....and also further drops of a non anti inflammatory as needed.

We then went and did a session of Reiki each...it was most restful and healing. Tomorrow we discuss whether to do more sessions or focus on learning how to do Reiki on each other....

Tomorrow it's also back to the hospital for another workshop on stress management and relaxation.....

Linda is having a better day...she's not "back all the way" but doing much better...this round was much more difficult in terms of wearing her down.

No worries, Linda. Champ Cars don't have windshield wipers either!

It's always interesting to see the comment counts rise whenever Linda posts on the blog...like she brings something out in all of us. Dave, we love you too so don't take it personally if your posts get less comments. ;)

Sending healing to both of you,
shelly & jason paul

P.S. I've noticed a few new posters here too. You guys are gaining some publicity!

Hi Guys,
I was wondering if the burning was from lack of fluid on Linda's eyes. John's Mom has recently had trouble with her eyes burning and that was her problem. I think she is using one of those 'more tears'. glad Linda got in and is getting help.

Much love, Kay and John

About that reiki -- I vote for letting someone else continue to provide you both with the comfort and relaxation it's providing. Nothing wrong with learning how to do it, but I think your plates are beyond full for the both of you. Lean on someone else for a bit, even if just for a "laying on of hands", so to speak. :-)

Wrapping you BOTH in that golden glow of healing love....

Dry eyes can be so painful--we hope that the drops clear up the problem quickly! And we're glad that you're both getting some relaxation strategies.

Keeping you BOTH in our thoughts and prayers!
