Hooray! Today I had my FINAL chemo treatment! What an accomplishment. I wasn't sure I'd ever get to this point. Give yourselves a pat on the back, because I recognize how much you all helped to get me here. I know I still have to get through the next three weeks, and there will probably be some challenges, but at least at the end of those three weeks, I will start my recovery. The doctor lowered my dosage a little today as he's concerned about the tingling in my fingers and toes. He was worried that if he kept the dosage full strength, the tingling may be permanent.
I'm going to miss all the gals in the infusion room. Every one of them is special, and so giving to each patient. I had two visitors today which always helps to pass the time. Pastor Paul came and we had a good talk about faith. I told him I still believed in my dream and appreciate so much how much my faith is helping me get through this journey. Son Jeff also came to visit for a while before he had to go to work. I always enjoy any time I can get with family. I don't know what I'd do without their support either. I'm so fortunate!
We are planning on going to Florida as soon as this cycle is over and coming back the 8th of April, have a cat scan on the 9th, and then see the doctor on the 10th. Hopefully, he will have wonderful news for me. Then we plan to see a lot of you at the Long Beach Grand Prix. I'm planning to be in pretty good form by then, although I'll still be pretty bald, so I'll be wearing my wig.
Thanks for sharing this exciting moment with me......Linda

Yippee! Yeah! Wow! Terrific! Dudos! What else can I say? Linda, you are amazing. Once you get yourself in that warm weather, there will be no stopping you! I want to go Long Beach just to see your smiling face in person.
We all can sleep a bit easier tonight. Sweet dreams.

WOOHOO!!!!!!!! And you started your healing long before this point! :-) I think you're allowed to absolutely WALLOW in the joy and sense of achievement and healing that this milestone brings. And then to wallow in the warmth of FLA for all of Feb? That's a really nice treat for slogging through all this -- and well-deserved.
Here's to a glorious weekend of celebrating and racing at Long Beach!!!
Wrapping you both in that golden glow of healing love and loving health...
Susie
There was never any doubt on my end that you would do this, and do it with such grace! You and Dave deserve to celebrate, celebrate, celebrate! The next few week will fly by since you know you aren't building yourself up just to go through it again, and you can visualize yourself in the warm Florida sun... I am so looking forward to our next visit..
You deserve more than a few weeks in the sun. Congratulations on finishing treatment. I hope the next few weeks go smoothly.
All my love.

yeah, this is luann galloway again. I t am so happy for you,I just know it will be good news later too. i spoke to someone today that has had 2 sessions of chemo and is in total remission now , hair growing back beautifully by the way and she looks great and feels like her old self ,has just started another big building project with her husband you may remeber her name Charlene Helton of Helton construction, also head of the Oregon Realtors board for a lot of years. She was telling me how tough it was and how she sometimes wondered just like you do about will this end and now it has and she is doing great . I just know it will be the same for our Linda. Hve fun in Florida . We are taking Rocco and RAquel and of course LaTonia and Shane to Disney World in May we are meeting them there for Roccos 5th birthday . I can hardly wait for the time to be here. We got some great package for all so we decided to do it while we can. I Love you both take care Luann
Linda,
It's great to hear that you are doing well... We never had a doubt.
Don't worry about the wig at Long Beach; Wear you own appearance as a badge of honor; In that, one of the great things I have learned from you is to be myself and quit "doubting the package".
We are what we are, and the most important part is what we bring to the party.
Peace and love to you both, and tell Dave to "quit stressin' on what he can't control"!!!
It didn't work in dealing with me, did it?? :)
