Friday.....January 16th...2008

Miss Cheryl just left...now we are back to our "do very little" routine for a day or two....she and Linda and I had a great time....

We went to Busch Gardens yesterday.....I took pictures while the ladies rode the roller coasters....Linda was in pretty good form and held up for a day of a lot of walking and rides and all. Today she is back hacking again....

The pictures...please be aware these are the "big ones"....the really big roller coasters....too big for me....
.

PS...New rule for the BLOG...anyone thinking they are "over posting" and therefore "withhold posting" will have to "double post' to make up for the "withholds"! We make this stuff up as we go along!

oh
my
gawd!!!!!!

just looking at pics of L on the coasters gives me the shakes. I'm with Dave; I'll take the photos. eek!!!

Hey, y'all enjoy the warmth down there. It's positively mind-numbingly cold up here. So, that warm golden glow of healing love I wrap you in, L? I'm gonna snuggle under it for a bit, too. So scooch over some....

hugs,
Susie

Looks like you guys have a real good time. Like Dave no way would I get on a thing like that.Just makes me sick looking at it and knowing what it does. icky!!
Unemployment has hit our family here in NE. Our granddaughter and Ken is out of work. With Ken's job the big companies like John Deere and Caterpiller does not need or want parts right now. He is hoping couple months it will open up. He is extremely bored. Is volunteering at our school and church. With this weather he can't go outside to work so he is just bugging me. He is not one to not do anything and needs to be around men folk to chat about work.
I have found some work around the house to do. I guess this isn't part of the blogging you want to hear.
Linda, now with the steroids you probably will have more energy so watch so you don't overdo.
Well, I guess this is all the news. Later I will have to share with yoy guys about our addition household mates.

Yea... coaster riders!! The bigger the better, right, Linda?! :) Looks like you had a great time at Busch Gardens. That's awesome but like Janet wrote, don't over-do it if you can...

Hope the weather is beautiful and sunny.

Have a great weekend!

Dave, looks like you would have had a lot of company on the ground, including ME. I see that Linda and Cheryl were wearing light jackets........that beats our -31 degree wind-chill any day.
Linda, you look adventurous and perky...your old self!

Hi guys,

How brave you are Linda. Kay doesn't even like the ferris wheel...no stopping for me on the top as it goes around. Way to go girl! Love to you both, Kay and John

I will NEVER EVER go to a theme park with you...I would have a heart attack on one of those rides!

Lightweights! After my visit with Dave & Linda, I headed straight over to Universal/Islands of Adventure and rode ALL of their roller coasters, too! ;-) What's life without a little thrill now and then?

By the way, Dave DID ride one coaster with me. He rode Gwazi, the wooden one (the best in the park, in my opinion), while Linda waited for us. So, he did have a bit of fun. Plus, there were some other rides and adventures that we all did together.

I had a marvelous time visiting Dave & Linda and hope I'll get to do it again sometime soon. Two nights was far too little time together. For those who've posted enough to earn a visit, Linda's cooking is fantastic! And have them both make you some homemade granola... terrific stuff!

Thanks again, Dave & Linda, for a wonderful time. Was great to see you, talk with you and go out and play together.

Love to you both, as always.
