Tomorrow Linda has her chemo treatment and then we head to Portland ....she has had an "uneventful" day..pulse up a bit..hair coming out faster now (actually it is coming out at the same rate for weeks but is at "critical fallout" as we speak).
Linda is looking forward to the cruise...it has been one of her goals and we are doing it....a bit earlier than we had planned but the timing and the price (great great price) was right.
Friday we go to Tacoma for a Mother's day dinner..a bit late, I know...then on to Seattle to stay with daughter Wendy and son in law Chris...and Miss Taigen, the precious grand daughter.
Saturday it is lunch with my aunt and cousin(s)...I am calling myself the long lost nephew as we were disconnected for many years.
Sunday ....North to Alaska.....remember the song by Johnny Horton?

Hi;
Have a great time on the Alaskan cruise. Skip and I did that in 1995 and it was wonderful! We also added a land tour including Fairbanks and Anchorage.
I just got back tonight from a week "Around Lake Michigan". It included Chicago, Mackinac Island, a tulip festival, a tour of a sub, and (you will like this, Linda) a tour of a Wisconsin dairy farm. It was with Country Tours--part of the Taste of Home magazine company.
I went straight to the blog to check on the two of you. I am relieved to hear that all is basically going OK. Make each day a special one.
Love,
Ruth Ann
Yep, "North to Alaska," I remember that song.....guess it dates me.
Have a great time with your visits and travel.

Happy travels, and enjoy your visit with family. I know you'll have a great time on your Alaskan cruise... we want to see lots of pics! :)
We're headed to Utah for the ALMS and Atlantic race this weekend... it should be fun as we're staying with friends in their trailer in the paddock (they have connections with ALMS personnel).
Have a great week and an awesome time on your cruise.
Love,
Jim and Swee
WOW, I love that pic of the polar bear. And I am jealous, that is the one and only cruise I would ever consider going on. It would be beautiful. While you are in Tacoma, please give Mom a hug and tell her I love her. Missin you all. Have a wonderful visit, and just chill. Enjoy... Love Ya, Vicky
I actually do remember that song... in grade school we did a unit on Alaska and the Gold Rush. I remember the song and sourdough bread, but that's about it!
Your cruise is going to be fantastic. I'd like to visit Alaska sometime, myself. It's on the very considerable list of places to see.
Have fun visiting with family and cruising among the beautiful landscapes. Love to you both, as always.
