We're home!
Linda is doing well...still a bit worn down....either by the surgery or chemo....she's not sure. We took the bandages off today....tomorrow she gets to shower for the first time.....
Dave had his surgery today....much more than he thought...10 stitches in all....a bit miserable but he isn't the best when things like this happen....hopefully it ends with this.....another trip to the dermatologist on Thursday to look again at the outside of the lip.
Today is grand daughter Taigen's 5th birthday....Happy Birthday!

Dave, I searched my bag o' jokes, but just couldn't come up with a good lip one....and I am sure what you are feeling is NO JOKE.
Keep a stiff upper lip (sorry, it was the best I could do.)
Two surgeries on one week, that's enough!

Taigen shares her day (I hope she won't mind) with a college roommate of mine. Both splendid people. I don't even know Taigen and I'm not even related but it's obvious she's exceptional. And such a cutie too. Thanks for sharing her with us.
It makes me smile to think of her and of both of you taking such positive steps to get well> Maybe you should hold off the smiling until the lip is better though. It takes more effort to frown but that might be the better course of action for a few more days.

So much to catch up on after my own bit of vacation time! Well, in spite of both your surgeries, it sounds like you're doing well. Both efforts should get each of you into better condition, which is always a good thing.
Dave, if it's any consolation, I have my own dermatology appointment this coming Monday. Expecting to have a couple spots removed, but hopefully nothing like what you've just been through!
