Linda here, hoping I don't fall asleep typing this, as it has been a full day. We drove around Bend, checking out old haunts and checking on some of our properties. Then we went to see the new movie "Star Trek" which Janine had recommended and it was definitely good and different than all the other trek movies. We had dinner at a local Mexican restaurant and drove back to the RV park. No nap for me today.
I'm faring well from my surgery with only a little soreness. I think I'll be glad to have it in.
For all you Nebraska relatives, we are planning to drive the motor coach back around the 26th of June, taking a week, give or take, to get there, travelling with brother Marlin and sister-in-law Joanie. Sister Karen is joining us there. Hope to see my relatives as well as the Emken family. I have been wanting to do it for quite a while, and figure I better do it while my health can handle it. My 6th chemo cycle will be over and I'll have three weeks off between my Avastin maintenance treatments. Of course all this could change, depending on my scan on the 23rd which I will review with my doctor on the 25th. I'm expecting good news of course.
Thanks for all your great support. I am so fortunate to have you all hanging in here with me.

Hey sis, i have been trying to comment, but internet service has been so poor here lately. nice pictures, but like the mountain one mush better than the one in the bed. Glad to hear the the port went in okay...thought that a port is where there is large ships.
sorry that did not get to see you before i came back here to Uganda, but will be back in America next Feb.
Love you!
Always glad to hear from you, Linda....Only you could look so glowing in a hospital bed. I am sure that the port will save you a lot of hassle.
John will be going a a trip with his son to Mexico at the end of June while I have a busy week around here. We, too, have relatives in Nebraska. Would love to have met you there. I was going to say that was half-way between our homes but then I had a geographical lightbulb go off in my head.
Dave, your encouragement to sign up for Facebook has resulted in my reconnecting with several former students. Pretty cool to hear what some of them are doing. I must have talked about the Indy 500a lot, because they still remember the things we did in class related to that event.
Take care, both of you.
Marilyn
Wonderful! Great! Marvelous! Outstanding! Need I go on how wonderful
you are coming back to your roots (Nebraska). We will allow Dave into Nebraska ha! ha! We can set up camp with you too and explore the wilds of Nebraska.
Alright, I know that is enough.
I am so happy you guys are coming. We will make sure we are around.
Love you guys!!!!!!
Janet
Glad to hear you feel good enough to be out and about... just don't y'all go "round the bend" ... that's not the kind of traveling I have in mind. ;-)
L, I'm sure the port will make chemo sessions so much easier.
And the photo of you reading Maeve Binchy reminded me so much of my mom -- she read a lot, esp. during chemo sessions (ovarian) and Binchy was always a favorite.
And just wanted to let you know that I feel honored to be able to come here, check up on you -- ;-) -- and leave a note just to say I'm thinking of you and always have you in my thoughts and am sending you positive vibes. While we've never met, that somehow doesn't matter.
Holding you in that golden glow of healing love,
Susie
