Saturday...July 17th...2010

Linda is feeling stronger each day.......

This coming week is painting for Linda...a couple/three folks are coming in to help for a day.....Linda picked out all the shower tile today with accents and they are ready for the tiler to start on when he returns sometime this next week.

Dave has cut the fiberglass shower out of the master bath...so with the above, it's a "go"....he has also prepped the guest bath for flooring and has started tiling prep for the counter. His focus this next week will be the wood floor...his "first".....

Linda sees her primary physician Monday as a followup to her hospitalization...we anticipate a clean bill of health....Thursday is her first visit with her Oncologist after starting the Tarceva...we will be eagerly awaiting his comments as she has had very little , if any, side effects.....where is the acne like rash...the diarrhea...etc...etc...we hope it is an "old wives's tale" that the worse the side effects, the better the Tarceva is working....

Janine's picture of her Mother in the hospital...waiting to "get out"!..

Dear Linda,
I had such a wonderful time being with you & our old gang of sorority sisters! I am still a little in shock that you not only came, after just getting out of the hospital, but you looked FANTASTIC! I seriously believe your positive attitude & amazing support group, keeps you looking younger than the rest of us, inspite of your Cancer! No joke! I showed our picture on line to Dennie & Tonya, & they also agree that you look AMAZING!

I can't wait for our slumber party at Judy's. I want to host you & the girls after Judy's slumber party. There is nothing better for us than laughing, hugging, & being with good, dear old friends.

Your new home is beautiful already, but I can't wait to see it finished. Dave is doing a great job, & it is so obvious how much he loves you & you are both a great team! That house & floor plan is the perfect one for retirement years. We have talked about doing the same thing in a few years, when Dennie retires.

Love & Hugs, Rhody

What day is painting day? If it is a slow day at work, maybe I can give you a hand too.
Love the picture of you waiting to leave. You look a lot better than you did when you first got there...
