Wednesday....July 7th...2010

Crazy day today.....

Putting hardibacker on the kitchen cabinet surfaces......thinsetting the hardibacker in the laundry room.....tiling tomorrow in the laundry room.....granite tile starts in the kitchen on Friday....

Linda met with the OHSU folks today...but on the 6th floor and not her normal 7th floor......this was to meet with the surgeon to discuss the ostomy reversal. The surgeon was in emergency surgery.....but his aides were on board...first a long "discovery" discussion with a third year medical student who summarized everything for the surgeon's associate...who then met with us. The short story is that they see no reason for not doing a "ostomy takedown". they will have to do a barium test to make sure there is no blockage and then a test to see if Linda can tolderate the surgery...which they discribe as "straight forward".

The funny thing is they asked if Linda could do the tests today!!!.....and proceeded as if things would happen soon...Linda sputtered and indicated with all in her life...September looked much better to do it....so everything ground to a halt and they will move to a September timeline....Linda and the surgeon have signed a "consent" though....each agreeing to move forward....

The ugly brown shed we dismantled as a "first thing" when we purchase the Canby property sold today on Craig's list..it is gone!....we had over 12 calls so perhaps we sold it a bit cheap..but it is gone....now if the hardwood floor sells as well as the carpet we yanked up...things would be complete...the free pile by the curb is dwindling although the ugly table is still there....

so glad things are moving along with the new house-we tried to give away an old, non-running motorhome for a friend-Salvation Army type charities didn't want it-had a great motor, clean, etc. So, on to Craig's list it went and sold in 2 hours-had 18 calls!
great way to unload stuff cheap and it's out of your way

Wow, what a home makeover! We've barely done a thing since the day we moved in a few years back. lol

Take it easy, you two, and don't overdo it!

You never cease to make me laugh, Dave. I mean that in the most positive way. I cracked up about the ugly table at the curb. Just put "for sale $5" and someone will steal it for sure. J/K.

Great news for Linda. Both that the reversal of the ostomy is on the horizon and that she has so many more important fish to fry that she's going to let it wait until she is ready. Way to take control of your life, sister. You go girl.
