Saturday....September 18th...2010

Sorry about no blogs for a few days...excuses...and they are good ones....too busy...and more importantly...computer broke....fell off new desk by chair back swinging and knocking the computer off..and ..and

Linda's sample of tissue was enough..it has been sent off for the mutation identification....another week before we know if there is a match for the clinical trial....the clinical trial nurse talked to Linda and gave her much information...as soon as the computer is fixed, she will update then.

The nurse said the doctor was leaning towards the trial where one takes two pills a day rather than an infusion once a week for three weeks and then a week off.

Linda continues to cough more and wheezing is more prevalent...signs the cancer has had a time to grow...she remains upbeat and optimistic....

Brother Norman visited her yesterday..son Jeff came over and spent a couple of days....Last Sunday we had a family dinner with Janine, Jenn, Jim and Jeff....pictures to follow...

I am so relieved that they got enough. Do both studies have to have the same mutation?
Will keep the prayers focused on you getting the results you need and moving on to a healthy YOU...

Whew. I was getting into that "no news means bad news" mindset. Although, I suppose breaking your computer is bad news. Hope you can get it fixed up. And very glad the doctor got enough tissue for the sample!

Hang in there, guys. I'm keeping my fingers crossed you get into one of the clinical trials and it does the trick!

My love to you both, as always.

Good thing you posted as I was just getting ready to email you to see if everything was okay. So glad to hear that they got enough from the biopsy.

Take it easy, Linda, and have a great Sunday with the family... and don't go knocking things over again! :)

See what happens when you blog "almost" everyday...then nothing? Everyone gets excited, including us. So glad there is enough tissue, and that you are still being considered for the trials. More prayers coming from sunny Florida.

Lots of Love

Who would have thought mutations were a good thing? So confusing. All we know is that we want to bring on the trials!

Snuggle into your new house - enjoy, rest, relax, nest. :)

Love you,
Mary

Good news that they got enough tissue... on to the clinical trials?... but mainly a step further to a healthier picture! If love would be THE cure, you wouldn't have to go through all of this!!!
Enjoy tomorrow's family gathering and having a good time together, that's the best medicine!(-until the docs can decide what and which dosage will be best for you).
Loads of love!

I *so* identify with the chair back hitting the computer. The solution is to have so much cr p in your office that the computer cannot easily hit the floor. Trust me. I know this for a fact.

Very relieved that they had enough for the sample. Don't want to go through that biopsy stuff again any time soon if we can help it.

Love you both,
Marjorie

Hi, Dave & Linda,

I sent a comment yesterday, but it didn't show up, so here it is again. So relieved you are back online and that Linda doesn't have to go thru biopsy again. Now, we're cheering for you & hoping you can get into the right clinical trial. Will try to get over to see you at end of month. Want to see your new house and bring you flowers for your garden! Hang in there!

Love, Shari & John

Dave/Linda...We are thinking positive thoughts from Alaska. We are very glad to see updates to the blog and do worry if there is a hiccup with posting. What a tool it has become. I bet it is better than the cell ringing. Both of you keep moving forward.
