Linda is doing OK....the recovery is very slow....she has a followup with her primary physician next Monday....the primary physician was not directly involved in the latest situation..we think she was on vacation...but she is back in the loop now. Linda is keeping it "slow" but messes with stuff and gets a stern warning to remind her she is on the mend. She is "good" for the most part. Her pleuritic pain bothers her and she feels as if she does have pneumnia as she feels congestion in the lungs....
She continues to "roll with the punches"..but how many punches is she expected to take?
Linda's "ostomy takedown" is scheduled for the end of September but we will have to postpone it by a week, realizing Wings Seminars "Listening Heart" is that week...and our participation in that seminar is very important to us...
Tomorrow Linda gets picked up and has dinner in Salem with a bunch of her old friends...she is looking forward to that and promises to rest all day in anticipation and will not go into the house. We shall see.
Progress....the kitchen tiling is done and looks great...makes the cabinets look so much better too..so we won't need to spruce them up...saving a few bucks. Vince...the tile guy is off doing another job and will be back in a week to do the master bath..including a complete overhaul of the master shower...etc...etc.. Daughter Janine came over today and started painting...Dave even got into some painting...even though he hates it. Dave tiled the laundry room..his first effort in actually laying tile and groutiung..and...it looks pretty good. Tomorrow we move the new washer and dryer in and start laundry...great...
We pick up the wood floor tomorrow.....all the carpet and pad has been removed....Dave will start on the floor in about three days after the flooring has "acclimated"....
Our neighbors have been delightful...we enjoy badgering with them.....

Linda - good to hear that you are on the mend, but take it slow and easy! It sounds like things are going well on the house - can't wait to see pictures once it's all done.
Take care, you two, and have a great rest of the week!

Linda-"Mess" around with the inside of a book for a few days. I know you want to help, but you make us all so afraid for you. Please rest, and try to get that "busy-body" husband of yours to slow down. You both make me tired just reading your blog.
Love you
Kim & Ernie
Linda Lou, listen to your nurse/dr. I could put tiler, house remodeler and on and on.
Sounds like the house is moving right along. Getting the laundry room finished is great.
So glad that Janine is there to help you guys.
Won't be long before she go back to school.
Well, we are leaving to go north to Pierce, NE camping. Hope we don't have any rain while we are there. Had a bad wind and rain storm last night. Winds up to 70 to 80 mph. Electric was out in some parts of Omaha.
Will be thinking good things for you, Linda while we are gone. No more hospitalization for you.
Love, Janet
Linda have a relaxing, heartwarming time with friends from your old neighberhood...Dave, you also need to pace yourself..we can't have the "caregiver" back in the hands of Honey!!
Claudia
Linda good to hear you are home and doing well. Make sure you rest up and just point at what needs to be done. Dave you take her advice on that, but go at it a
a reasonable pace. Gene and I are leaving in the morning for a little trip to Baker City to see friends and on to Idaho, but will be checking in on you while we are away. Take good care of each other and we will call you to set up a time to get together.
