Saturday Evening (Florida Time)......March 22, 2008

Not much new to report....16 days left in Florida.....we will miss it...

Linda is doing quite well (my observation)...she still gets fatigued and coughs a bit...but not as much as before....the chest cold or whatever it was seems to be clearing up. Her back still has pain from time to time...somewhat of a puzzle but could be due to sitting, etc.

After a week of sunshine and warmth....today it rained but was warm....we took a long nap and did not much else. Tomorrow we have dinner at a friend's house so we will get plenty of rest tonight.

We are working on the dinner in Long Beach...we have some exciting things planned and everyone will have a great "last" time. The dinner announcement will be posted on the 27th of March.

OOOOO....you are keeping us at the edge of our seats regarding the "last CCIC dinner" at Long Beach. We will have our eyes glued to the computer screen on March 27th. Linda, are you having a hard time keeping the dinner details a secret?

Happy Easter! We had a good day with Lyle and Margaret - dinner at their retirement center. Ron, Deb, Jacob and Isabel are in Nebraska so we're having family time this week. Hope you had a great day. Glad you are feeling better, Linda! Love, Darrell and Shar

Hi Linda and Dave,
Happy Easter! We just wrapped up a great day with our family and our special guest, Janine! What a treat that was. She gave us your message/greeting and we send our love too. I hope you have sampled her cherry/walnut rolls. Wow! They were really good and I got to keep a few of the leftovers.

She served as our "judge" to keep things civil for our "special egg" exchange. It was quite humerous and fun and while there were no knock-down, drag out battles, and several of the "eggs" were traded several times, it was good to have a judge as we had to call on Janine for an official ruling a time or two.

We hope we get more opportunities to see her again.

My prayers continue for your speedy return of good health through God's blessing with His healing hand.

Bj (& family)

Happy Easter!

We had a nice impromptu Easter dinner with friends over after church and then the kids hunted for Easter eggs inside the house since it was pouring rain in Seattle the first half of the day. We almost couldn't find the last egg but luckily one of the girls found it before she left - I'm so happy there are no unaccounted-for eggs in my house! : )

Of course it cleared up in the late afternoon and was beautiful even if the wind was freezing. We went for a nice walk and visited Marc, Allison and new baby Max who is one week old tonight.

Hope you had a nice Easter. We love you!

Love, Chris, Wendy and Taigen

Hi guys,

Glad that overall you have been enjoying your Florida holiday and that Linda is doing better....so glad the cough has slacked off. It is great that your involvement in Long Beach takes your mind off not feeling well.
Love you both, Kay and John

Belated Happy Easter!
I had a good visit with Mom and Dad. The day before I stopped by Margaret and Lyle's and saw Ron and Deb and family. Then I went to a McMaster affair and visited with Skip's cousin who just got back from Florida. She and her husband flagged on the first curve at Daytona for some race..I don't know which one but I guess it couldn't have been a Champ Car race. They have been flagging for Champ Car races for years so I'm betting that you have been at the same places.
I'm hoping that winter in Oregon will be over by the time you get there. Enjoy your last days in Florida.
Love, Ruth

Happy belated birthday Linda; sorry I missed it! Glad to hear you're both doing well in Florida.

Hey Dave, any chance we can web conference into the last-ever CCIC Dinner? Those of us not lucky enough to travel to the event want to be part of the momentous occassion!

We begrudgingly purchased our Milwaukee Mile tickets today, but I can't help but to feel some hesitation.

Take care,
shelly & jason paul

My dear friend, Linda,
Cannot believe I forgot your birthday, what kind of friend forgets a birthday. Just so you know, you are loved, more than you will ever know. Looking forward to you coming back home. Love Judy
