PS..the cake was great...what does it take to .....take a cake mix...add water...add oil...add eggs....let the mixer do its thing....bake for 30 minutes ....done....except what does one do for frosting...the answer is to have a wife who then wakes up..makes fudge which doesn't harden properly so she puts it on top of the cake...great combination....add ice cream and everyone was happy....

Love the idea of real fudge topping for the cake. If I had not pigged out at Marie Calendar's this evening (including key lime pie for dessert) it would make me hungry.
Dave, if you're ever feeling lazy, TravelMom and I can highly recommend the red velvet cake from Publix with what they call cream cheese icing. Dense chocolate cake with nice creamy icing. OH, now my mouth really is starting to water.
So glad the sun came out for you today to heal the heart and spirit.

Happy birthday Linda! We share the same birthday, March 13!!! I can't say I had a very good birthday as on Monday March 8, I fell off of a 6ft ladder while waxing our 5th wheel, I was home by myself so I was glad our daughter drove in the driveway just after I fell. I crushed my heel on my right foot. I am in a beautiful purple cast which hurts like hell!! I will NEVER get on another ladder again! The cast will be on for about 8 weeks, so i am going crazy,no pressure on my right foot,no driving! GRRRRR The good thing was Randy was home for the weekend...he had to go to home office for a couple weeks, then home for good as they got the job @ MacDill AFB 18 month job!
