Wednesday evening....Linda's take

Dave pretty much covered it. I just want to say how much better I feel after visiting with the oncologist. He seems to have a sense of humor which is important to me. I told him I was looking for a Bernie Seagel ( a doctor and author famous for teaching self-healing to patients) but he had a little too much hair (Bernie is bald).

I better do any playing around the next two weeks, because the fun will end once I start treatment. Gone are the trips we planned to California and Arizona in the motor coach.

If I haven't said it enough lately, thanks for all you do for me. My victories feel like your victories and my fears, your fears. I feel so connected to you all via this blog which I am so grateful to David for thinking of. I feel so fortunate.

Love and gratitude......Linda

Hi Linda,

Just wanted you to know that I am always thinking of you and am so glad to hear some good news. I'll talk to you later about Fontana NASCAR races. I want you to keep in mind my personal hero, Lance Armstrong! Pound-for-pound the strongest person in the world. Everything is possible. Love you loads. Mick

Hi, Linda and Dave - Read your blog first thing at least twice a day. Keep on inspiring us with your courage and positive attitude. I've asked all my email friends to include you both in prayers, gave them your blog info, and gotten positive responses from all. Also some asked how someone from upstate New York knew someone from Oregon. I simply said Champ, and they said Oh!
Also wanted to let you know that when Owego has their Relay for Life walk, there will be a luminary in your honor with your name on it. Hope you can handle all the prayers that will hit you with that!
Love, Margaret

I think you, Janine and I are going to have a blast finding you a whole "new look". Scarves are cool too!
Who knows, when it grows back it could be really curly and blonde!
Love you,
Jenn

I'm just going to the track in Edmonton, to get my credentials and to scope things out. Linda, doon't worry, I will take good care of Dave. It won't be the same in Edmonton without you around. We will all be thinking about you and wishing you strength and peace.

Hot damn, this is great news!! So very, very glad to have a great big smile on my face, instead of the tears of prior updates! So glad you have such a great oncologist to help you through this and that his opinion is such a really positive one. I was so fearful...

Oh, this is just the best news ever!

Absolutely can't wait to see you both in San Jose and give you great big hugs. And you'll get more in Phoenix.

So glad, so glad!!! You still have a long haul ahead of you, but it will be so much easier for you to deal with it, knowing that you have such a terrific chance of victory.

This is just a short full-course yellow in your lifetime race. You'll get back to green in no time.

See you soon! - Cheryl Jones

Dan & Susie & Elton here from Florida......

Great to hear of the battle plan to fight this cancer. We have a friend that has just been through the radiation/chemo process and at worst he was just somewhat uncomfortable at times. He said the results were great. They have come a long way in fighting some cancers.

We do wish you all the best and if there is anything we can do for you here in Florida please let me know.

Thumbs up, Linda!! This is great news. I read a Winston Churchill quote that made me think of you: "If you're going through hell, keep going." So no stopping here on this journey -- straight through to health and strength.

Gotcha' wrapped in that golden glow! Susie

Linda,

By now you know the level of support you have from all of us...It's REAL and meant to give you the power to kick this demon's little butt!

Stay strong, lady. Many is the time that your faith helped me to overcome an obstacle. I hope my faith in you helps you to overcome this one.

Take care, be strong, and know that a lot of people love you and are pulling for you!
