Sunday....September 20th...2009

Couldn't my journey be a little more boring?! Honestly, I'm not trying to be a Drama Queen or provide new fodder for the blog! I've been saying that I'm looking for new experiences for my bucket list, but this is ridiculous.

I am definitely glad to be home from the hospital and in my own bed. It's also nice to be able to hop up to use the bathroom without being disconnected from five different devices. I'm really sore in the mid-section, but doing fine otherwise. I hated to say good-bye to Janine today, as she is always good for my spirits, a great cheerleader.

Thanks for all the love and support while I was in the hospital, and, yes, one of these days I will get even with Dave for the photography at my expense!

Love and gratitude......Linda

Glad you are feeling better. Janine said she had to leave because you were cheating at cards again. I think you have passed the "gift" down to your son. Every time we play hand and foot with my sister and husband, the boys always win. I think you taught him how to put cards up his sleeve.
I love you.....

Yeah, Linda,

Home again from the hospital. We're rooting for you. Hope your tummy heals fast and you are over the soreness. Thank God, they were able to do the laproscopy surgery instead of the other.

You Go, Girl!

(Yes, Dave has a great deal of retribution coming for some of those photos! Get him good for all of us!)

It's good to hear that your back home again. I think you've tried just about every medical sickness. Hopefully you don't start coming up with new stuff. Dave I have to agreee with Linda that was a bad picture. You have one coming!

Take Care

I was at the health club today on the bike when the Dr. Oz Show appeared. What did they have on there? A real gall bladder. Now I had a chance to see what that pest looks like. Rather unattractive, I must say.
A new task for those of us in bloggerland: Let's give Linda ideas for photo payback. Some of you out there were reluctant to share your own pics with Dave, but I am CERTAIN that you can be creative and help Linda out on this one. Let's get on it, folks! Newest item for bucket list: PAYBACK!!!!

Trust me, Linda, you won't miss that danged gallbladder at all! I had mine out a few years ago and haven't missed it. You'll be sore in the mid-section for a couple weeks and may feel like you can't quite straighten up fully, but after that you'll be right as rain. Those laparoscopic scars get to be very small and hardly noticeable. At least your issues with it came on suddenly (as bad as they were) and you didn't have to suffer through lots of nights of waking up in the a.m. with extreme pain or not being able to eat much for weeks on end, like happened with me.

Glad you've gotten rid of that little sucker. Now, try to take it easy for a while and NO MORE MEDICAL EMERGENCIES!!!

Love to you both, as always.

Linda What a surprise to hear about your surgery. We were just talking about you on Sunday AM while walking the "Race for the Cure" in PDX.
Barb says you will feel much better and more like youself now. She had (as she tells it) the last of the old fashioned surgeries for gall bladder given in Portland. Big scar, 5 days recovery in Good Sam.
We both send lots of love and want you to know we were very happy to see you at the events earlier this month. (One sad & One happy)
Keep up your spirits and "get" that rotten Dave.

Hi Linda and Dave, I am so glad it all is behind you, what a trooper. I think I would be upset with you Dave for the picture of the stern look but it is very cute. Deb and Don just got back from two weeks traveling they both have cell phones and sometime Deb answers hers. We take off in our little rv Dec 5th or so, havent decided where to go just south to keep warm. Your blog is amazing..
