Wednesday...December 8th....2010

Good day today.....Claudia, Claudine and Karen came over to bake with Linda.....the "St. Paul Girls"....Betty came over later to finish up....lots of goodies were baked and a good time was had by all....it is simply amazing to see the lift Linda gets from these visits.....Claudia stayed for the evening and it was most enjoyable sharing stories and memories from our youths...hopefully they all come back...

Love the Christmas decorations... no pictures of the cookies though. Were they all eaten after they were baked??! :) Am so glad that you had a good day, Linda. :)

Dave - hope the weather's been nice for you since you've been working outdoors.

Have a great day and weekend!

Love,
Jim and Swee

There are big ships and small ships. But the best ship of all is friendship. ~Author Unknown

A friend can tell you things you don't want to tell yourself. ~Frances Ward Weller

A friend accepts us as we are yet helps us to be what we should. ~Author Unknown

When we honestly ask ourselves which person in our lives mean the most to us, we often find that it is those who, instead of giving advice, solutions, or cures, have chosen rather to share our pain and touch our wounds with a warm and tender hand. The friend who can be silent with us in a moment of despair or confusion, who can stay with us in an hour of grief and bereavement, who can tolerate not knowing, not curing, not healing and face with us the reality of our powerlessness, that is a friend who cares. ~Henri Nouwen

In everyone's life, at some time, our inner fire goes out. It is then burst into flame by an encounter with another human being. We should all be thankful for those people who rekindle the inner spirit. ~Albert Schweitzer

I LOVE these photos, for all these women are all reflecting back to you, Linda, your unending and everlasting spirit of love, compassion, strength, and courage.
You go, girl. Who know how far that "go" will then be. :-D

Here's to warm and joyous times, moments that strengthen your body. And remember that we've all got you wrapped in that golden glow of Universal healing love, energy, and peace.

Linda, you have such a beautiful smile on that lovely face. You are truly blessed to have wonderful and great friends.
The tree is awesome and all the decorations are outstanding.
We are to get snow and rain Saturday. It will be fun standing outside for our Live Drive-By Nativity.
Well, it won't be long until we head to Florida.
Thanks for keeping us up to date on the festivities at the Woods' home.
Love those very dear friends for making you so happy.
Love, Janet

Hi you two! Glad to see the tree is still up (inside joke) and the cookies baked. You look good Linda Lou. Dave - are you still out in the yard? The ground ought to be nice and soggy to plant those arborvitae (unless you have clay and rock - erk) You two seem to be having such a great time this holiday season. But then you always do put on a special show at Christmas. Love ya,
Ginnie

I am glad to see pictures of your Christmas Tree. I miss seeing it across the creek. I am going to put ours up tomorrow and also do some of the outside lights. Jack willing and if it doesn't rain. I'm envious that you are getting baking done. So far all I have done is think about it. Take care, we check the blog every day.

Love,
Liz and Jack too.

What a gorgeous tree, Dave and Linda! We're hoping to get ours decorated this weekend as well as working on the fireplace mantle. I just love the way everything lights up and sparkles in the evening hours.

I hope you both have a wonderful weekend!

Your Christmas house looks so warm and welcoming, just like the two of you. I think I was able to smell those cookies baking all the way here in the Midwest!
