This picture of daughter Janine...granddaughter Jillian...dog Sadie...and Linda was taken last week .I forgot to mention in the first post of the evening that Linda has been put on Prevacid for her gastro problems..this is the same medication I have been taking daily for years with great results..hope it works for her also..as the acid condition is a distraction from her other things going on.

I'm sorry to hear that you are faced with so many secondary health issues. Keep hanging in there.
This a.m. I read a good definition of a "new normal" in the AARP magazine: Either I can be bad at trying to be the person I was before I got sick, or I can figure out who I am now and learn to be good at that.
And, that applies to both of you because I know, Dave, that you experience Linda's health challenges right there along with her.

My Mom just finished up treatments for colon cancer.
It's a hard, long road...keep the faith! It isn't easy and it's a very stressful time for all.
Don't be afraid to cry, to be angry, to need support, and to love.
But, you also know on whom you can lean.
And you know that life is meant to be lived and to be enjoyed!
And, you still are a person with dignity, with feelings, with passions,with emotions, with love, and with a soul....not just a "cancer patient" or "survivor".
