Sunday Evening...September 2nd

Not much new to report....Linda's about the same as yesterday....the fire west of us grew to 3200 acres but not much closer our direction.... http://www.blackbutteranch.com/fire/

We have spent the day watching car races...and more car races....and...and a short walk...that's about it....oh....Linda did 10 minutes on the tred mill (good for her!)

Hi Mom,

I love that picture of you sitting on the couch. It reminds me of so many scenes I have in memory of being at your house. That is YOUR couch, Dad sits in the big arm chair, and I sit on the longer couch. How funny that this scene actually continues when I'm not around!! Huh! So the norm continues at the Wood household...

Another beautiful day in the Willamette Valley. I'm up and about already, about to take the dogs to the dog park or for a walk- get some energy out of them so they don't drive me nuts all day. HA! Anyway, wanted to say hi and that I found that quote that I was trying to remember when I spoke to you last night that concerned our conversation. Check who said it... that's fascinating to me for some reason:

"The greatest mistake in the treatment of diseases is that there are physicians for the body and physicians for the soul, although the two cannot be separated." ~Plato

I hope your physician knows both. :) Thinking of you today and always and make sure you have a GREAT day!! Think POSITIVE Mom, it will all turn out okay. I know it will.

Love, Janine

Hello Linda and David,

Glad to hear that you are keeping up with racing :) This weekend I was at 3 races in 4 days and have the sunburn to prove it! In St. Louis I visted with Susan Pollack (Ford Racing) and she sends her best wishes to you both and I did share this site with her. Anyway stay safe and don't let those fires get too close to you!
