Thursday Evening....August 23rd

This picture was taken this afternoon.....the hat is the "new" look as the hair is coming out.

Tonight we shaved off what was left..actually quite a lot....so now Miz Linda is bald....kind of looks cool..but she's not ready to show the world yet.

Today Linda has suffered from the gastric stuff again......upset and sore.

That's about it for the day....

What a great picture! I had some trouble getting to the blog, Jenn says I have a serious problem, but glad I've finally connected. Want you to know Chad and I have both of you in our thoughts, hearts and prayers. Stay BRAVE! The picures with you and Jillian are darling. Jenn told me tonight you got the new hair do. I think if I were in your shoes I'd do the same. I taught with a gal that when the new hair came back it was a wonderful salt and pepper with curls she had never had before. Rest Mama, we have a wedding to go to and see our two finally get it legal!

Have I told you lately how much I love you????

I am going to send you a wrap that I wear on my head while riding on the harley. Yes it is from the Harley shop and it is soooooooo cute! I will put it in the mail today and there is instructions for you to wear it several different ways. We can pretend you are a biker chick:) A really HOT one at that...

I will be gone for a week camping on the rogue so I will not be able to check in... I am not sure how I will handle that. I will call when I go into Merlin for ice....

Please take good care of yourself! I love you so much...

When the Japanese mend broken objects, they fix the damage by filling the cracks with gold. They believe that when something's suffered damage and has a history it becomes more beautiful.

Even before cancer showed up, I spoke to people about all you'd been through in your life and how you prevailed with such strength and courage and seemed to understand that it's all a stepping stone to you becoming the amazing woman you are. I could always see the look of awe and wonder in their eyes as they wondered if they, too, could remain as optimistic as you through it all. This is just one more of those events in your life that when it's all said and done, and there is no more treatment, illness, and energy loss- you will be even stronger than you were before. You shine with the gold that fills your soul. You are beautiful.
Love, Janine

It's nice to be able to continue the journey with you through these blogs as you trace your steps. I hope you can see from these comments that this is a ride we're all along for now.

As Marilyn said, I also received many inquiries from the fans at Road America and several well wishes to pass back your way. The weekend turned out really well with sunshine through all the most important parts!

Linda, if you're a coffee drinker I would definitely stock up on Starbucks Frappuccino. They are divine (and refreshing!).

I love the new blond highlights. And do you still have your pink scarf from RA last year? A perfect accessory!

Keep up the strength!

P.S. I couldn't help but notice that's a Yoplait you're drinking in the photo, as I glance down in my hand and realize my lunch today is the same thing!
