Wednesday Evening....August 15th

These pictures came from Linda to me tonight..so I'm sharing them...they must have been taken last night....Son Jim..granddaughter Jillian, "Sadie the lady" and the lady of the hour..."Miss Linda"...pretty good for someone going through what she is going through...great spirit..great determination..great belief in her personal powers...

She was given the "BELIEVE" and cherishes it as it represents what she is all about...."believing".

The new "hair doo" is a bit obscured by the bandana..perhaps we'll get another soon....

HI;
I can't believe that Jillian is that big....I must have lost track of time. What a pretty young lady! How old is she?

Seeing Jim in the picture reminds me that when you and Jim were in the car accident YEARS ago, Skip bought you roses. He didn't buy me roses until Brian was born some 8 years later. Good thing I am not the jealous type!

I like the new hairdo. Many of my friends have found a wig to be too hot....probably a "Nebraska" problem. They have settled for a scarf or hat.

I'm glad to hear that you have the hydration problem solved. I bet you were pretty light-headed with that low of a blood pressure.

Hang in there..
Love, Ruth Ann

You look great! I hope Jillian and Julie are taking great care of you. Please tell Jillian to give you a big squeeze and smooch.
Thank you so much for the treats over the weekend. They were eaten immediately. You are such an amazing woman, always thinking of others.
My love and thoughts are with you. Jenn

I love the new hair-do (what we've been able to see of it, anyway) and the scarf. It's got just that tiny little bit of pirate to it. Perhaps I could find you a nice piractical bandana to wear - something to show your "no quarter" attitude toward beating your cancer!

You look terrific, as always, Linda. As long as we can see your smile and your brilliant eyes, who cares about hair? -Cheryl J.

Honey, you look very feminine. It is not all about the hair... It also includes the demeanor and your attitude. You are very much a lady, and a beautiful one at that.. Love the pictures. I am starting a scrapbook of your journey, pics and all... One of these days when you are on the other side, you can look back and share your wisdom with others. God uses people, and honey you are blessed...Luv Ya, Lil Sis

Linda,

I know you don't know us but we have known Chris and Wendy for many years. Reading this blog has helped me remember that we are all family in some way. You look great and I am very encouraged at your faith. We never know what we are able to do, with our faith in our selves. May God heal you very soon.

You are always in our prayers,

Kathleen and Brad Bliven

Wow! Looking at those pictures no one would ever guess what you are going through. You look great!

We missed you at Road America. You hadn't planned to be there but we missed you anyway. And at Mont Tremblant, too. You have been part of every Champ Car race we've been to the past 2 1/2 years before that (11 races we think). So we're counting on having you back for 2008.

In fact, with your positive attitude I'm thinking you'll squeeze in a weekend trip to Phoenix during your final chemo stint in December. Don't work the race, just come to spend time with your Champ Car family and show how well you have done with your Diet, Attitude, Exercise regimen.

Your new "do" looks great.

Love, Dave & Virginia
