A different day...
Linda had troubles with her blood pressure again...high pressure....high pulse. She finally placed a call to the internist....they are doubling her medication and adding a second medication....when her pressure is other than low she takes the medication...and stops it when the pressure is low. Not what we really want to do (like self medicate) but I guess this is it for a while. We hope to get additional information when Linda meets with the Medical Oncologist next Tuesday...she also begins the second cycle of chemo that same day.
Linda's partner Sean and his family came over for dinner tonight....nice folks and a great opportunity for Linda to take her mind off things.
Tomorrow we go to Bend to do some Christmas shopping and lunch with friends...and then on to the valley for the weekend if Linda feels like it....and the blood pressure is handled. We have get togethers with various friends and family throughout the weekend.

Hang in there Linda. You are fighting the good fight and it will have ups and downs. Your positive attitude, your desire to stay on top of the medical treatment and pursue the answers to your questions and doing everything you can to take care of your body and your spirit will lay the groundwork for your healing. Dave, I am so impressed with your faithfulness and encouragement to Linda. How lucky you are to have each other to lean on during this challenging time. I know I appreciate your updates every day and check them first and last thing in the day. Have a wonderful, peacefilled weekend as you visit friends and family and soak in the love. You are in my heart every day and good thoughts are coming your way from Salem.

With all that you BOTH are going through the light is that you two are working it out together. Don't worry about the Christmas stuff there will be next year to do it when you are feeling much better! Think of your time in Florida and the time when you will be back. This is the season of hope and giving . . .

Found this daily message off one of the sites I visit:
Learn that the way to set change in motion is to bless and appreciate even the most difficult parts of our life.
I think, L, that you're a walking, talking example of this. You go, grrl. :-)

Being a naturally selfish person, it takes major trials to get me out of my selfishness and bring me into Gods will. Your journey and experiences have brought me back to God, and prayer. Something I took lightly until now. I cannot speak for others, but I am back where God wants me and that is in his guidance and direction. And your experiences are what has guided me back in the right direction. Because left to my own devices I get off task and run on self will, with no direction at all. I am still a baby in this area, and subject to falter. Trials like this brings me back to where I am suppose to be. Love You guys and very grateful to be a part of your lives, Lil Sis
