Monday....January 3rd...2010

A tough day today.....Linda didn't have the strength to get out of bed today....no energy....and wondering if it is all worth it.....it is most difficult to tell whether Linda is suffering from from the "chemo punnies" (this being the worst week of the cycle) or whether the cancer is advancing...or whether the impact of the chemo is just not worth sacrificing a quality of life...

Linda was able to get out of bed late today and ate a bit....now late in the evening she is doing better...let's hope tomorrow is much better for her.

I've urged Linda to consider this is the toughest time of the cycle of chemo and by the end of the week she should feel better...and then next week the CTscan and Oncologist visit should spell out where things are at....is "hang in there"...

Other peripheral challenges arose today but we were able to work through them....not that we need anything else to deal with....

Wednesday Linda meets with the Palliatologist....who will be helpful....as this is what he does....

No remedies or suggestions needed.....just good solid support .....

We are all willing you to withstand this particular low spot. I can only repeat that the adrenaline letdown after a spectacular holiday season is difficult in the best of times. To begin an arduous health regime is a double whammy but you've got the stuff, Linda. You're strong. You're committed. You'll push on through, talk with the doctors, get a plan, and feel more like your organized, focused self again. It will happen, because you are you and because we love you.

The sun shines just for you today. May it bring warmth and embrace you in a strong hug to erase the Christmas/chemo punies and give you strength. Imagine the gallery here holding you up as you work through this.

God Bless you both.
Love,
Mary

Marjorie said what I was thinking -- the holiday frazzledazzle on top of all the chemo punies, the recent move, all the work on the house, dealing with changes in your health status, recent milestone celebrations -- all will deplete your store of energy and hope. Rest and listen to your soul. Know that we are here no matter what, come what may, day in and day out.

Wrapping you both in a particularly restorative, centering golden glow of healing love and peace. May you find your way to whatever you need.

Hugs,
Susie

Hope you get by these chemo "punies" Linda Lou. Know you worked really hard during the holidays and had lots of company so that all may be a factor. We must do lunch again soon so hope you get to feeling better. Love ya, Ginnie
