Wednesday....Janaury 19th...2011

We are preparing for the Celebration...the programs are being printed (right next to me by daughter Wendy)..it is 12 pages!!!!!....I told you things would be different...with a color picture of Linda of course...
.
Wendy and Janine have the food scoped out for the Gathering ...they are picking everything up Friday....

Jim has the audiovisual stuff figured out...

The siblings have the Eulogy put together.....the five friends of Linda have their part figured out individually and Friday they rehearse....

The music is being put together right now by me......

I took time tonight to have dinner with dear friend Claudia....the Widower met with the Widow....(we call ourselves the "Widower Man" and the "Widow Woman")...she is of great counsel to me in these trying times....as she was with Linda and I when Linda was going through her Journey.....

Tomorrow my Brother and his family arrive from Anchorage.....Linda's Bridesmaid Mary is flying back here tomorrow......Friday many coming in for support..thank you all for the time and expense to support Linda..she was special and so are you...and you....and you..
.
Daughter in law Jenn, in addition to doing the obituaries for the newspaper, has worked with me (I just identified the pictures) and created a book of pictures of Linda...an amazing assortment in book form allowing folks to see the many faces of this amazing woman....application forms will be available at the Celebration and folks can order their copies directly from the publisher on line....really cool!!!!!

Great photos!

Still so sad I can't make it this weekend. I know it's going to be a great and memorable celebration!

My love to you both, still. Hope you're doing okay, Dave.

Love the photos! :) Made me smile thinking of her. I still wish we could make it there for the celebration, but we'll be thinking of all of you that day.

Love to you, Dave, and the family.

Those pictures just made me smile too. I will always think of both of you as my extended family...guiding me in the right direction. I have always admired the courage Linda was able to muster, even if she didn't feel that well. I will miss her dearly.

Remember, God doesn't give us what we can handle, he helps us handle what we are given.

All my love & hugs, Anaya

Oh Dave, I saw the obituary today in The Bulletin - I am so sorry. Have thought about you and Linda a zillion times since leaving the Cancer Treatment Center over a year ago. Never occurred to me to try to find her blog and connect that way. I just read your posts and was grateful for the info today. Thinking of you and sending love to you and wind for the Angel's wings.

Hi Dave, I saw Linda's beautiful obituary in the Bend Bulletin today and wanted to extend condolences from the St. Charles Cancer Center team. We were all so appreciative of your strength, fun and humor in the face of challenges. Your love and appreciation for each other was so evident. May your memories give you strength and healing, Lizzi, Marlys and the DEFEATcancer team

The many faces of the amazing woman called Linda! Even when she is trying hard to look scary, she can't pull it off ... her underlying abundance of love, humor and zest for living life in the moment radiate right through any scary facial expressions, no matter how great the acting skills!
We'll miss that radiant smile not greeting us in the future, yet it will stay with us vividly ingrained in our memories and hearts! Thank you for sharing these moments!
Love to you and your family,
Sibyll & Glen
