I am thinking of the entire family. While I never post, I read the blog daily. Aunt Linda will be in a good place soon with people that we all miss dearly. They will help guide her and show her the way.
With Love,

Oh sweet woman. How blessed we are to have had your presence in our lives. Who knows what is around the bend. Maybe we will all gather together again someday. We will keep you in our hearts and we will help Dave in any way we can. Thank you for these years of friendship and love. Bird Angel.
If there is still time, we (peanut gallery) would like to change this up... to remember what Linda is to us! Linda is a friendly smile when she approached. Moive nights were great with her laughter & insights. She would bake for me when my wife would not. She is fiercely competitive when playing cards (5 Queens)! She is always up for a walk at the resort! She is not afraid to give as well as get on anything!
We can say the same of Dave except (when he claimed that he did the baking). We LOVE YOU BOTH!!!
Dave, You are not alone and we are here if you need anything(our guestroom).

Linda may you soar into a better place, see all from a glorious place above. Dave, Linda will be in your heart forever and know she will see you again someday :) Linda couldnt have had a more supportive husband and family thru this journey. I hate cancer...it has taken family and friends of mine...and it makes me angry!!! May we all pray that we find a cure for this disease. I pray for you Dave during this difficult time. Kay
May the person who receives Linda's eyes see the world and life as Linda did, everyday as a gift. As we see today in a magnitude of sadness there is a person out there who will receive the gift of sight from Linda, she will see thru another person, how special is that!
Dave-Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful love story, and Linda's journey with all of us. What a wonderful spirit she is. Please know that we are here for you in thought, in our hearts, and for whatever we can do. We love you-Sean, Shannon, and Hunter
You are constantly in our thoughts.
We wish peace for you both.
Love,
Liz and Jack
Your family is in our thoughts and prayers. We are honored to have known Linda. May you be at peace. Carter & Dustin
When I drove down on Wed morning I was listening to Pandora radio having chosen Kelly Clarkson as the theme music. A lot of country music was playing and it seemed to fit to listen to songs that told stories, some beautiful, some sad, some both. I am just discovering I like Brad Paisley - the lyrics to the song below really struck me and I could only think of Linda. Now that she is gone I can only picture her in a better place, with our father in heaven and other loved ones, free from cancer and the suffering it brings with it. Linda, I love you.
When I get where I'm going
On the far side of the sky
The first thing that I'm gonna do
Is spread my wings and fly
I'm gonna land beside a lion
And run my fingers through his mane
Or I might find out what it's like
To ride a drop of rain
[Chorus]
Yeah when I get where I'm going
There'll be only happy tears
I will shed the sins and struggles
I have carried all these years
And I'll leave my heart wide open
I will love and have no fear
Yeah when I get where I'm going
Don't cry for me down here
I'm gonna walk with my grand daddy
And he'll match me step for step
And I'll tell him how I missed him
Every minute since he left
Then I'll hug his neck
[Repeat chorus]
So much pain and so much darkness
In this world we stumble through
All these questions I can't answer
So much work to do
But when I get where I'm going
And I see my maker's face
I'll stand forever in the light
Of his amazing grace
Yeah when I get where I'm going
There'll be only happy tears
I will love and have no fear
When I get where I'm going
dont cry for me down here
Close your eyes my dear friend for your struggle has been long and hard, but a new journey will soon begin.
Close your eyes my dear friend so that when you awake, your frail body will be healed and strong.
Close your eyes my dear friend so you can greet those that await you and prepare for those of us who will follow.
Close your eyes my dear friend knowing that you have lived a good life, filled with good memories.
Close your eyes my dear friend for you have true friends who love you and want only for you to be at peace.
Close your eyes my dear friend, for you will live through your beautiful children and grandchildren who brought you so much happiness.
Close your eyes my dear friend for you have loved deeply a man who would do anything for you and who will cherish your memories.
Close your eyes my dear friend God is waiting.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Having just completed this same journey with my mother I understand what you all are going through at this time. I Love you very much and thank you for being such an inspiration to all of us. We should all be so blessed to have such a special love in our lives. May you find comfort in that love.
Love,
Polly
